Tomato paste sunscreen

Article-Tomato paste sunscreen

A new study suggests that consumption of tomato paste may boost the skin's protection against ultraviolet rays, which can cause premature aging and skin cancer. Study participants who consumed 55 grams of tomato paste and 10 grams of olive oil a day were found to have 33 percent more protection against sunburn and higher levels of procollagen, which keeps the skin firm. Researchers say lycopene, an antioxidant, could be the reason for the skin benefits.
