A digital image patient data system called CLAY (Collaborative Layered Application) is now available from mdconsult.net, a division of the Phaedrus Company. CLAY uses a subscription-based client server model and has a secure user interface which supports multiple image formats and multiple audio and video formats. The system tracks when an image was created, when it was uploaded and by whom, organizes information in a patient chart paradigm and can generate branded patient brochures with before and after photos. According to the firm, in clinical testing prior to its debut, CLAY took an average time of less than one minute to admit one patient with five images into the system, and an average time of less than 30 seconds to retrieve information on one patient with five images. Clinician training time with CLAY took an average of 15 minutes. The system was designed by physicians and in consultation with the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is compliant with HIPAA. For more information:800-705-2811 http://www.mdconsult.net/ |
