NEW UPDATED SKIN TIGHTENING SYSTEM, PROCEDURE FOR HANDS, TX TIP BY THERMAGE

Thermage, Inc. has launched the ThermaCool NXT system and the Hands by Thermage procedure, as well as its new 1.5 cm2 ST ThermaTip.

ThermaCool NXT is Thermage's next generation noninvasive system for tightening the skin and contouring, according to the company. The new system includes a streamlined operating system and user interface, a 30- percent lighter more ergonomic handpiece with remote controls and sleeker design with a smaller footprint. This system provides for faster treatments, more flexibility and greater ease of use.

Other upgrades include a screen that is 75 percent larger with a display that is easy to read and a redesigned cooling system that permits treatments to continue when coolant is being replenished.

Hands by Thermage is a new noninvasive procedure for tightening skin on the hands. This procedure, which can be performed with the new ThermaCool NXT system, is one of the Body by Thermage procedures and was created for patients with thinning skin on their hands, who wish to decrease the appearance of veins on their hands and add more radiant skin texture.

Recommended use of Hands by Thermage includes usage of their new 1.5 cm2 ST ThermaTip. This new tip has a shallow heating profile that channels the radiofrequency energy to the skin's dermal layer, creating a smooth and tightening result.

The ThermaCool NXT system, the Hands by Thermage procedure and the 1.5 cm2 ST ThermaTip were introduced at The American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in February.
