The Aesthetic Show 2018 offers Continuing Medical Education credits

Article-The Aesthetic Show 2018 offers Continuing Medical Education credits

Entering its 12th year, The Aesthetic Show (TAS) has become the most influential multispecialty medical education conference and exhibition in the industry. With educational offerings ranging from hands-on injectable courses to excellence in practice management, physicians and their teams will gain the skills and practical experience needed to implement the latest strategies and new treatment options for your patients.

But more importantly, TAS will provide attendees with a progressive scientific program complete with many opportunities to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.

The Advanced Hands-On Injectable Training Courses will take place during the Pre-Show Educational Program on Thursday, July 5. During these courses, participants will take a deep dive into trending and emerging facial injectable products and treatments.

This full day session will be broken into two separate courses: Advanced Neurotoxin Techniques (4 CME credits) and Advanced Dermal Filler Techniques (4 CME credits). Attendees have the option of registering for one or both courses to gain valuable tools and insights, as well as the opportunity to practice the latest techniques under the guidance of skilled instructors.

For attendees that cannot make it to the pre-show educational sessions, The Aesthetic Show’s main program (July 6-8, 2018) will have ample opportunities to earn CME credits.

In fact, the show will kick off Friday morning with The Aesthetic Visionaries symposium, which will offer 2.5 CME credits. This opening session sets the pace of the overall event, focusing on the mega trends driving the medical aesthetic industry. Presenters and topics include:

  • Outpacing the Competition – Andrew Ordon, M.D.
  • Riding the Wave of Patient Demand – Michael Moretti
  • Regenerative Aesthetics Comes of Age – Ryan Welter, M.D., Ph.D.
  • The Role of Women’s Health in Your Practice – Tess Mauricio, M.D.
  • Preserving the Masculine Identity – Terrence Keaney, M.D.
  • Understanding the Millennial Patient – Deepak Dugar, M.D.
  • Lifting Techniques Using PRP – Charles Runnels, M.D.
  • New Paradigm of Skin Health Management – Zein Obagi, M.D.

On day two of the main program, attendees can earn 2.5 CME credits in the Next-Generation Anti-Aging Skincare general session, moderated by renowned skincare expert, Zein Obagi, M.D. This session will explore the applications, efficiencies and effectiveness of the increasing number of products and ingredients being used in today’s topical formulations and cosmeceuticals.

The Aesthetic Show will also offer a special focus course dedicated to Advanced Injectable Applications and Techniques on day one and two of the main program. Comprised of three modules, this course provides a thorough review of the latest injection techniques and tips from expert faculty. Each module offers unique information and 2 CME credits so attendees can participate in one, two, or all three modules for maximum educational benefit.

There will be even more opportunities to earn CME credits among the sponsored Scientific Workshops, also taking place on day one and two. Currently, attendees can earn 1 CME credit for each of the following sessions:

  • What Men Want: The Complete Male Patient Course – Jason Emer, M.D. and Terrence Keaney, M.D.
  • Let’s Talk About Sex: Sexual Health and Aesthetics for Women and Men – Charles Runnels, M.D.

Set to take place July 5-8, 2018, at the lavish Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Nev., TAS 2018 is sure to be another can’t-miss event.

“TAS is fun and different from some of the other meetings,” said Kian Karimi, M.D., F.A.C.S., a facial plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, Calif. “It is a multidisciplinary meeting so the scientific program is very well balanced. It offers something to physicians of all different specialties, which I believe is an important part of its success.”
