Where Innovation, Education and Skiing Support an Important Cause
In the world of aesthetics there is no shortage of summits, seminars and symposiums to choose from. Conferences are readily available both domestically and internationally to enhance knowledge and skill. But with so many options, what makes a meeting stand out? While the answer may vary depending on the audience, there is one meeting entering its 17th year in Park City, Utah, that not only offers a rich educational experience but is also dedicated to giving back to some of the patients we serve: Breast Cancer Survivors.
For the many loyal attendees of the American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting (ABAM), this congress is about much more than just excellent education. With over 90 world-class speakers, the event showcases a mix of esteemed key opinion leaders (KOLs) and up-and-coming surgeons eager to present their first abstracts on a prestigious stage. Residents are also given an invaluable opportunity to present and connect with leading experts. From facial plastic surgery, body contouring and breast procedures to nonsurgical techniques and cutting-edge device applications, ABAM ensures educational content for every aesthetic focus.
With a ski-in, ski-out location, the meeting includes midday breaks to enjoy some of the finest snow in the world. Hands-on industry workshops, live demonstrations and intimate networking events also foster connections in a relaxed, social environment. Industry partners sponsor the event, offering a chance to explore the latest products, technologies and services.
For the past 17 years ABAM has been proudly endorsed by The Aesthetic Society (ASAPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP).
A Meeting with a Purpose
Industry pioneer Renato Saltz, MD, past president of ASAPS and ISAPS, founded ABAM in 2008. Early in his career, Dr. Saltz noticed that many of his breast cancer patients struggled emotionally after surviving surgery and chemotherapy.
He founded The Image Reborn Foundation in 1998 to provide three-day, no-cost restorative healing retreats for breast cancer survivors. The Foundation, which offers retreats in Utah, Colorado, Texas and Florida, has hosted over 4,000 breast cancer survivors.
ABAM is a 100% nonprofit, 501(c)(3) entity, with all net proceeds from the meeting going directly to support Image Reborn. Over the past 16 years, ABAM has become the leading supporter of Image Reborn with total donations of over $750,000, helping to sustain these vital healing retreats for breast cancer survivors.
So, why attend ABAM? Not only will you gain cutting-edge knowledge from leading experts in aesthetics, but you will also contribute to a cause that makes a lasting impact on the lives of breast cancer survivors. This event is more than just a meeting – it is a movement that combines education, compassion and community.
